With the dramatic and continual increase in the number of people suffering from chronic stress, anxiety and depression, along with controversy about the efficacy of anti-depressant/anti-anxiety medication, what can be done to shift the tide and make a change? The BodyTalk system offers a unique, non-invasive, and supportive approach to searching below the surface of these often debilitating disorders to help to reveal the contributive factors and associations that may be causing the nervous system to spin out of control. BodyTalk recognizes the interrelatedness of the mind and body and understands the powerful effect that emotions, beliefs, memories, expectations, events, and environmental triggers can have on the way that each and every one of your 30 trillion cells function. Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine, BodyTalk looks at migraines in terms of
energy. Because all the acupuncture meridians simultaneously move upwards towards the head, when this energy becomes stagnant in the head, clients feel enormous pressure there. They won’t want to be touched, they may experience nausea, and lights or sounds can be disturbing.
The main factor in migraines is stress or trauma, which block lines of communication within the body. BodyTalk
addresses this factor by restoring the communication. Other common factors in migraines are:

• Food Intolerances
• Hormonal Imbalances
• Menstrual Issues
• Emotions
• Memories with some emotional charge.

BodyTalk takes all the factors into consideration. It is truly a holistic modality that recognizes the interdependence of all systems within the body/mind.

The digestive system stores neuropeptides – the same molecules that make up your brain – except we have 10 times more neuropeptides in the body than in the brain! By using a technique called Active Memory, BodyTalk is especially successful at retrieving and neutralizing the thoughts and emotions stored in the tissues including the gut that have become pathologies. The consciousness of the large intestine relates to the idea of letting go of the past, e.g., old resentments, trauma, or former relationships. Environmental factors can affect the internal chemistry of your digestive system. Stress relating to your boss, mother, son, or husband can directly affect the intestinal lining of your digestive tract, minimizing the absorption of vital nutrients. BodyTalk is a holistic form of therapy that recognizes the interrelationships within the body/mind and works to achieve balance and healthy communication among all body systems.
BodyTalk assists the body to produce its own digestive enzymes and regulate its stomach acids in order to assimilate foods within the small intestine that previously caused harm or discomfort.

Arthritis is inflammation of the joints. Several common types of arthritis are Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Gout, Lupus, and Ankylosing Spondylitis.

BodyTalk discloses and works with the underlying causes of any type of arthritis rather than diagnosing the disease. As always, BodyTalk uses the body’s natural self-repair mechanisms to facilitate healing, re-establishing lines of communication in the body that have been blocked. Sometimes the breakdown in the body’s internal dialogue that brought on the arthritis occurred many years ago, yet is only now causing discomfort.

BodyTalk approaches the entire condition from many different angles:

  • The buildup of uric acid crystals around the joints (gout) can be addressed using the digestive and metabolic systems.
  • Balancing the client to barometric pressure can help the body adjust to the difficult climate.
  • An old injury or accident can be storing trauma or emotions, release of which can help relieve a client’s symptoms.
  • Parts of the body can be addressed through their consciousness. Arthritic knees, for example, can be addressed through the consciousness of knees: fear of walking forward in life.
  • The belief systems that dictate the rules by which we run our lives can affect the body. An over-rigid belief system may cause stiff joints. Releasing the belief system in question also releases the stiffness.
